Frequently Asked Questions
Reference ImagesClient must provide minimum of 3 reference images – one of the front, one of the back, and preferably a side or ¾ view as well. Of course, the more you provide the more accurate the wig/costume/prop will be. If we have to locate reference pictures ourselves there may be a delay or charge involved. We may be willing to accept additional reference images once the commision has started, but that is up to our discretion.
Measurements
Please take accurate body measurements. As we cannot do fittings in person or take measurements, we rely entirely on the information provided by you. We are not responsible if you give us incorrect measurements. If you believe your measurements will change during the construction process, please inform us and provide updates.
Payment Schedule
Full cost of materials must be paid up front and the remainder of the balance due upon completion. The item will not be mailed out until the balance is paid in full. If you prefer, you can pay for the full balance up front or make partial payments during construction. If you have a specific request pertaining to materials, techniques, closures, etc please inform us when requesting a quote as this may affect the price of the piece.
Refunds
Cost for materials is non-refundable. Labor may be refundable depending on circumstances. For example, if we miss the agreed-upon deadline due to an error on our part, labor may be refunded in part or full. However, if the client did not provide accurate images and the costume/wig/prop is not to their liking, the labor charge probably will not be refunded. Progress pictures will be provided so that you have an opportunity to review the work. Please provide us with honest feedback as it will ensure that the item is completed to your liking. Corrections are a lot easier to make before the item has been completed.
Communication
Communication should be both swift and professional from both parties, however, email/IM harassment will not be tolerated. We do our best to reply to all emails in a timely manner, however multiple emails may delay my work on the commisioned piece. If either of us request your acceptance or opinion on an update, we expect you to reply quickly so that work can continue on your commission.
